Build Versions
« on: December 05, 2019, 01:35:14 am »
I'm using Wine to create a fully functional Mac OS Version for Tabby's Mod. It will be on yiff.party along with the default release. All I need is an icon. I was considering using Jeanette's head from one of her sprites. I am open to suggestions

I'm not familiar with Mac Os. But, is there a Flash Projector 11 for Mac available on Adobe.com?
If yes, then download it, run, use File->Open... choose SWF launcher file. Game starts, then click File->Create projector...
It should create executable file containing a copy of Flash Projector packed with flash launcher in one file.
But there might be peculiarities of Mac Os I'm not aware of.

It’s a pain, but by packaging the windows version, users need only download and double click to play

Otherwise you would have to either rescript the entire thing, or make every .swf it’s own application. The package I’m creating simply runs the .exe file in a wrapper and it’s not much larger in size.

Do as you think is most feasible. I know literally nothing about Mac. I believe Mac Os is sold on US domestic market only so I could not see that thing in my life.

Adobe has a Linux version of Flash Projector 11. Unfortunately it needs additional library to work. Not that it's hard to obtain/install, but Windows version of Flash Projector runs atop any version of Wine in Linux as is, so it's actually easier use it that way.

I've finished the Mac version but I need an icon to replace the one attached. I thought we could use a sprite and export it as a bitmap and use that unless Tabby would like to create his own. I only ask that it matches the size of the current icon so I attached it for reference.

I vote for Rio because she is the main character and symbol of HTH since the first version ever. Just head and HTH style "HTH" to keep it simple.
I didn't think long about that so you can get better idea.

I hope you can replace the executable launcher and data files easily in you MAC package, because both has changed since version "Almost-0.671".

I can and without difficulty. Worst case scenario I just have to re package. Process takes about 5 minutes.

Here's an update!

I have packaged a wine directory into one simple package alongside the app so that users do not need it installed on their computers in order to run. I've attached a screenshot of 0.671_almost running natively on MacOS, Can't wait for people to get to play this!

I have a copy that works, but I don't have original official zip file.
I can pack it in zip file but it won't match original file size and checksum (if ever provided) that normally proves that zip file is genuine (tells that no malware could be injected).

Actually, my copy is not original, I've added some extra libraries and Linux launcher, because original doesn't work in Wine.
