Short version: After 7 months delay of RLD archive fix and 14 months from last release of anything he says that he won’t update RLD besides 2 hours worth of bare minimum fix to make all scenes accessible.
Long version: He made February 2018 offline version of Flash RLD which is broken the same way the online version was: Ginger sprite is missing in Motel files so there is nothing to click on to get in Ginger dialog part triggering sex scenes. Also Jeanette dialog is broken, click on Missionary does nothing unless you somehow get drunk status and Done option to get her to shower does not work sometimes. The scripts are 15 minutes fix, adding Ginger clickable sprite is two hours max.
Crow also made some little progress with online version: Jeanette missionary scene got working female mode (player shape got boobs, dick is strap on) and Crissy anal got climax finished, but the part where player pulls her hair by hand with segments not drawn yet got removed. Finishing that could be worth of two days, if drawing that hand segments takes a day.
That’s the status by the fall 2018 where all RLD files were still online. The defunct online version is there so you can download files if you can guess path and know file names (found through decompilling the game) through some files (Crissy and Megan) are missing now.
Crow blames Adobe for breaking his game continuously. In fact Adobe caused only few problems in the game, more or less only bad lag on video sequence loops, like tail whack or some screen in the background. In most cases Crow is fighting consequences of his truly horrible coding style. Notoriously conditions with no default statement, using AS1 deprecated TellTarget() in AS2, assigning number name tags to frames, so gotoAndStop(“2”) confuses flash player whether to go to frame number 2 or to the frame number 6 tagged with name “2”. This bad code list is long. Not small part of game scripts works only by chance. Every time I change one thing in the game, two related scripts elsewhere stops working until I fix them. Also it stops working when Adobe Flash security update make something in the Flash player less tolerant to code errors.
What I get from the message is that he is too lazy to fight his own mistakes, if he even understands why his code does not work, so he is going to simply remove all broken stuff. He also is not going to implement things he planned. I doubt that he is going to remove what he listed because I doubt that he ever implemented all that. If he did, it would have been done in the last half year. I hope he at least finished that Crissy anal scene ending so the ongoing update is worth of 2 days, not just 2 hours.
By the way, current RLD girls are in working version of HTHvT0671 which will be released when we get more dialogs done.
